The project is located in the town of Noáin, on an urban plot near the Parque de los Sentidos. The intervention is organized into two separate areas: the first includes swimming pools, a frontón court, and recreational spaces; the second contains the expanded paddle courts and a new sports hall.
The main building is partially buried in the terrain to reduce its visual impact and take advantage of ground thermal inertia. The access level contains public spaces, including the entrance hall, grandstands, and changing rooms; the lower level includes the sports court, storage areas, and technical rooms. The upper technical roof houses the ventilation and climate systems.
The structure combines reinforced concrete retaining walls and a glulam timber roof supported by four central pillars. The façades include solar protection, thermal insulation, and an acoustic suspended ceiling.
Passive strategies include optimized orientation, use of thermal mass, green roof, and solar control through overhangs. The technical systems incorporate an air-source heat pump, photovoltaic panels, and adaptive LED lighting. A rainwater recovery system supplies irrigation and toilet flushing.
The layout allows for joint or independent use of the facilities, adapting to seasonal operation. Access and circulation are differentiated for users, athletes, and technical staff.
